District and School Grade Report
Beginning with the September 2011- 2012 school year, our school district has conscientiously implemented the requirements found in the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act by establishing and implementing various programs, approaches and initiatives to address Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying.

During the first three years of implementation of the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, our school district has made progress in addressing and improving harassment, intimidation and bullying and the school climate and culture by creating school and district based initiatives; implementing the Myk12 software system for reporting/tracking incidents; and providing on-going training to staff and students. As a result, we experienced a 37% decrease in the number of HIB investigations from the 2012- 2013 school year vs. the 2013- 2014 school year and a 15% decrease in the number of confirmed HIB incidents from the 2012- 2013 school year vs. the 2013- 2014 school year.

While completing the Self-Assessment, we learned that our school district has demonstrated strengths in the following areas: providing on-going training for staff and students on HIB related information; implementing programs/approaches to address HIB prevention and intervention; and conducting/completing investigations within the 10 day time frame.

The Self Assessment helped our school district to identify areas for improvement in the following areas: involving community groups in trainings, programs, approaches and initiatives.

During the upcoming year, our school district will seek to offer more parent workshops on strategies to address harassment, intimidation and bullying.
